Isb PGP Theatre Club

Social Club
Theatre Club
Overview
“The Theatre Club at ISB is crucial to help students express themselves on stage and in short films. It is a way for students to step out of their comfort zone and augment their campus life with new experiences, on stage and in front of the camera. The theatre club has carried out stage productions not just for marquee events but also a standalone play nights. With the move to digital, the theatre club and its activities evolved to include short films, movie streaming nights and solo acts which have raised the bar of creativity and participation from the cohort”.

Nikhil Banka
President
Nikhil Banka’s journey with theatre began at the age of six and evolved from school stage competitions to full-fledged street productions in college and beyond. Over the years, he has explored every facet of theatre including acting, directing, and scriptwriting. A graduate of NSIT Delhi in ECE, Nikhil actively contributed to his college dramatics society as the Head of Logistics where he managed everything from set design to cast coordination.
As President of the Theatre Club, Nikhil’s vision is to create a culture where stepping out of your comfort zone feels safe and everyone is encouraged to participate. He believes theatre holds a mirror to the self and helps individuals develop confidence, executive presence, and creative courage. These are skills that are invaluable not just on stage but also in classrooms, boardrooms, and every space where leadership and communication matter. Through interactive workshops, play adaptations with fresh perspectives, and collaborations with other clubs, he hopes to make theatre a shared and enriching part of ISB life.
Before joining ISB, Nikhil worked for about 5 years as a Software Engineer in companies like Walmart and Keka, where he built and scaled critical technology systems. When he is not in the classroom or catching up on sleep, you will most likely find him on the badminton or squash court ready for a good rally.
