Yes, you can choose among any of the cities (Hyderabad | Delhi | Mumbai | Bangalore), but once you enrol for a cohort, you will need to attend classes in the same city during the entire duration of the programme. 

No. Also, there is no provision for stay on the campus during the weekend classes. If you are travelling from outside of these cities, to attend the programme, you will have to make your own stay arrangements.

Classes for Bengaluru, Delhi (NCR) and Mumbai will be held in a hotel at a convenient location except for the international immersion segments and two weeks of classes on ISB campuses.

The total number of working days away from work for the duration of the programme will be around 15 days.

It is not advisable to miss the classes but in case of an emergency, you can avail special permission and attend classes in any of the 4 locations – Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad or Mumbai. If you can’t attend then too, you cannot complete the programme in the current academic year. You will need to attend the classes in the next academic year to complete the programme.

The curriculum starts with a set of core courses focusing on key business areas such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Economics. Once you have completed the core courses, you have the opportunity to go deeper in one functional area by opting for a specialization in either Marketing or Finance. Core courses will remain the same. Everyone must take the core courses. Students have a choice of selecting a specialisation area between Finance and Marketing. Once the specialization is chosen, students must take all courses in that specialization.

After choosing a Finance or Marketing specialization, students must complete all courses that are made available in the chosen specialization.

The programme will consist of 20 core courses and 4 elective courses. Each course will have 18 contact hours with the faculty. Students are required to complete all courses to complete the programme over 432 hours.

Synchronous classes mean online courses that require students and faculty member to be online at the same time. Lectures and class discussions occur at the  same time and all students must be online at that time in order to participate. 

Asynchronous classes mean online courses that you can take at any time as per  your schedule. Faculty provides lecture notes and assignments that can be accessed at any time. Students need to go through these notes within a given timeframe.

Yes, attendance of online classes is compulsory and crucial to ensure the success completion of the programme.

Contact hours for Online classes is around four hours, per course.

At ISB, we follow the study group approach which allows students to work in teams of five members throughout the programme. The success of the study group approach is a result of what you learn from team members in your group. Whatever the assignments, you will find support from your team members on a regular basis and you prepare  for the assignment/courses that are being studied. For the online classes, you will be in touch with your team members through Webinar, Skype, and WhatsApp etc. Please do note that the online classes allowfor greater convenience and flexibility as compared to that of a class room which requires you to travel to the location.

There will be an additional expenditure of about rupees one lakh incurred on the international immersion 

ISB can provide estimates of total cost incurred by the students for PGPpro and that can be shared with the banks providing loans. This can help participants avail additional loan for the immersion.

Yes, it is mandatory to attend the international immersion.

No. It is the responsibility of the students to apply for the visa. ISB will provide the necessary invitation letter from our partner in that country.

Assessment for all courses in the programme will be based on a combination of case analyses, assignments, exams, class participation etc. Specific details for each course will be decided by the faculty teaching the course.

Yes, participants will get a mark-sheet/transcript at the end of the programme.

Candidates must have demonstrated leadership skills within their company. 5+ years of work experience with managerial skills is required. More details are available on the website.

Learning in an EMBA programme is enhanced by relating the concepts taught in class to different situations in organisations. The experience of the peers in the class also adds to the learning as they share their experiences in class.

ISB looks at the quality of work experience and not the formal designation.

If this experience is full-time and if you can support this with relevant documents in your application, you can apply. The quality and relevance of your experience in your business will be critical. You will still have to furnish professional evaluations. Your parents, friends and family cannot provide evaluations. You should furnish recommendation from people with whom you have a strictly professional interaction like your clients, vendors etc.

Work experience should be full-time. Part-time work experience will not be considered.

Freelance work experience can be considered provided it is clearly substantiated as being equivalent to full-time work experience.

A gap between employments should not be a problem. However, you should be able to justify this gap.

Work experience before graduation is relevant if it is a full-time work experience. The admissions office will however evaluate the quality of work experience in all cases.

We encourage everyone to apply early as it helps in two ways:

1. The Application fee for applying in the first deadline is lower than that of the second deadline

2. Candidates, if admitted, get more time to complete pre-course material and come better prepared for the classes.

However, applying in either cycle doesn't have any implication on the chances of selection.

Yes, there can be some candidates on the waitlist provided they meet the selection criteria of the school.

Academic scores are important in the application, but it is one of many components of your application. Every aspect of the application is used in making an admissions decision: letters of evaluation, past academic performance, career progression, goals and the essays. Please ensure that you put in effort in highlighting your candidature for the programme.

We need a professional evaluation from your current supervisor but no official letter from the employers is required.

No, you do not have to be sponsored by your organization to apply for the programme.

Please submit provisional mark sheet/certificates at the time of applying. After you get an admission offer, we will request you to submit the original mark sheet/certificate. Admission is not granted if the original documents cannot be submitted before accepting the admission offer.

We do not encourage deferrals. In exceptional circumstances, deferral may be granted upon submission of documentary proof supporting your reasons for deferral. Please note that the programme fee applicable to the year of joining the programme will apply. Deferral is granted for a maximum of one year beyond which you will need to reapply.

No, there is no additional fee to Defer the admission. However, you will have to pay the fee as relevant for the academic year, that you will pursue the programme, as per the dates mentioned in your deferral letter.
