The programme is similar in content and rigor to an Executive MBA programme globally. The content is tailored to the needs of profile and seniority of the class. PGP PRO is a modular programme for working professionals, wherein PGP is one year residential programme.
Although PGP work experience is in the range of 2 – 20 years, the average work experience of PGP class is close to 8 - 15 years. There is very little percentage of students in PGP with work experience of over 8 years and they have their own reasons to pursue the programme. PGP PRO is designed for professionals who do not want to take time off from work but still pursue a world-class management programme. The curriculum in PGP PRO is designed to meet the needs of mid-level professionals and that includes their personal development and career skills

If you can’t attend then too, you cannot complete the programme in the current academic year. You will need to attend the classes in the next academic year to complete the programme.
Yes, all the courses of the programmes will be taught by the ISB faculty. In addition, globally recognized visiting professors from global business schools will also teach in this programme.
The curriculum starts with a set of core courses focusing on key business areas such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Economics. Once you have completed the core courses, you have the opportunity to go deeper in one functional area by opting for a specialization in either Marketing or Finance. Core courses will remain the same. Everyone must take the core courses. Students have a choice of selecting a specialisation area between Finance and Marketing. Once the specialization is chosen, students must take all courses in that specialization.

The programme will consist of 20 core courses and 4 elective courses. Each course will have 18 contact hours with the faculty. Students are required to complete all courses to complete the programme over 432 hours.
While the majority of the learning is in the classroom, programme has an online component in each course that allows for greater convenience and flexibility. The online parts may be a mix of synchronous/asynchronous classes and interspersed between classroom sessions for effective learning. The mix of synchronous/asynchronous classes may vary and depend upon the faculty teaching the course.
Synchronous classes mean online courses that require students and faculty member to be online at the same time. Lectures and class discussions occur at the same time and all students must be online at that time in order to participate.
Asynchronous classes mean online courses that you can take at any time as per your schedule. Faculty provides lecture notes and assignments that can be accessed at any time. Students need to go through these notes within a given timeframe.

At ISB, we follow the study group approach which allows students to work in teams of five members throughout the programme. The success of the study group approach is a result of what you learn from team members in your group. Whatever the assignments, you will find support from your team members on a regular basis and you prepare for the assignment/courses that are being studied. For the online classes, you will be in touch with your team members through Webinar, Skype, and WhatsApp etc. Please do note that the online classes allowfor greater convenience and flexibility as compared to that of a class room which requires you to travel to the location.

No, there is no entrance test for applying to this programme.
As a part of the admissions process, all short-listed candidates will be interviewed. There is no group discussion.
Interviews give us an opportunity to hear about your experiences first hand and make a qualified judgment. Interviews will be held in person whenever possible and may be conducted via teleconference or video conference facilities in some cases. However, other aspects of your application – work experience, academic background, managerial experience – are also equally important.
Any Bachelor’s degree holder with 5 plus years of work experience, either manegerial or non-managerial is eligible to apply for PGPpro.

Learning in an EMBA programme is enhanced by relating the concepts taught in class to different situations in organisations. The experience of the peers in the class also adds to the learning as they share their experiences in class.
ISB looks at the quality of work experience and not the formal designation.
If this experience is full-time and if you can support this with relevant documents in your application, you can apply. The quality and relevance of your experience in your business will be critical. You will still have to furnish professional evaluations. Your parents, friends and family cannot provide evaluations. You should furnish recommendation from people with whom you have a strictly professional interaction like your clients, vendors etc.
Work experience should be full-time. Part-time work experience will not be considered.
Freelance work experience can be considered provided it is clearly substantiated as being equivalent to full-time work experience.
A gap between employments should not be a problem. However, you should be able to justify this gap.
Work experience before graduation is relevant if it is a full-time work experience. The admissions office will however evaluate the quality of work experience in all cases.

We do not encourage deferrals. In exceptional circumstances, deferral may be granted upon submission of documentary proof supporting your reasons for deferral. Please note that the programme fee applicable to the year of joining the programme will apply. Deferral is granted for a maximum of one year beyond which you will need to reapply.
