Women in Data Science (WiDS) is a worldwide actionable community, incubated at Stanford University, on a mission to change the field of data science across the globe by elevating and empowering women.  We strive to reach 30x30:30% representation of women across all levels in data science education innovation and leadership by 2030.

Every year WiDS organizes its annual conference to give  a platform to women to share insights, gain knowledge and network.  The first conference was launched in 2015 at Stanford University.   The 4^th edition of WiDS Hyderabad is organized in collaboration and hosted by Indian School of Business at ISB Hyderabad Campus on 3^rd June 2023.

WiDS Hyderabad is an independent event that is organized by Sulakshana Sreeram as part of the annual WiDS Worldwide conference, the WiDS Datathon, and an estimated 200 WiDS Regional Events worldwide in collaboration with ISB.  Everyone is invited to attend all WiDS conference and WiDS Datathon Workshop events which feature outstanding women doing outstanding work.

WiDS Ambassadors across the globe plan an event in their area that coincides with the Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference.

She has also launched WiDS next gen program, 2 years ago in Vishnu school, Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh, bringing in the program for the first time to India. WiDS next gen is another initiative of WiDS team at Stanford University to encourage early teenage girls towards STEM courses. Collaborated with WEHub, an organisation of Telangana State Government to promote entrepreneurship among the women, to scale up WiDS next gen program.
