Professor Rajendra Srivastava joins as the new Dean of ISB

Professor Rajendra Srivastava formally takes over as the 5th Dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB) from Ajit Rangnekar, the outgoing Dean, on the successful completion of his term.

Prof. Srivastava has three decades of academic and administrative experience and is also the Novartis Chair Professor of marketing strategy and innovation. Prior to joining ISB, Professor Rajendra Srivastava was the Provost and Deputy President (Academic Affairs) and Professor of Marketing at the Singapore Management University (SMU).

Welcoming Prof. Srivastava to ISB, Adi Godrej, Chairman of the ISB Executive Board, said, “Professor Rajendra Srivastava’s appointment as the new Dean of ISB marks a significant step towards ISB’s consolidating and strengthening the school’s position as a world-class business school."

Prof. Srivastava is a highly cited scholar with work published in leading marketing journals. He is also the recipient of several awards and honours. He has been actively involved in setting up several new postgraduate and doctoral programmes as well as research centres and initiatives in close collaboration with industry.

His research interests include Marketing Strategy, Marketing Metrics, and Brand/Customer Management. His current work focuses on Business Model Innovations, especially in Services, B2B, Technology and Emerging Markets.

Prior to SMU, he held distinguished research chairs and senior management positions at the University of Texas at Austin and Emory University in Atlanta.
