Job Purpose

Support with project management of all aspects of planning, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives of the centre with government or industry.

Job Outline

At ISB, SRITNE plays a key role in driving research and education related to issues of technology adoption, exploitation, and management. Key focus areas of the centre include data analytics, digital transformation of firms and governments, technology innovation and entrepreneurship, and technology products and the IT/ ITeS industry. The jobholder, as Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives, will report to the Associate Director and effectively manage the entire lifecycle of all projects that are of strategic interest to the center.

 

Canonical projects include big data-based indices of economic activity, jumpstarting growth & recovery of SMEs, and skilling programmes for the informal economy and its constituents.

 

The jobholder will need to provide necessary assistance to develop & execute strategies for design, development, and execution of strategic projects through active coordination with external survey administration partners, donor agencies / sponsors, technology partners, research teams and other internal stakeholders. He/she ensures timely fulfillment of regulatory and administrative requirements for projects. The jobholder will also be adept with project management skills, and very comfortable with unstructured work environment that is rapidly evolving with information and data.

 

The jobholder will be responsible for coordination with center’s Executive Director, Associate Director and Faculty.

MBA

·      Ability to communicate, coordinate and consult with diverse stakeholders.

·      Proficient in English Language written and verbal communication as well as comprehension.

·      Ability to create research artifacts such as proposals, collateral among others. Proficient in MS Office and other productivity tools.

·      3-5 years of experience in project management, operations, or execution role with a direct impact on service delivery to end clients.

·      Analytical and problem-solving skills, leadership potential, agility and enthusiasm. Demonstrable capability of being a team player and resourceful in managing challenges.

·      Information gathering skills, understanding of basic office administrative processes, high level of technology literacy, particularly internet, social media and data-driven decision-making.

Past experience in execution, coordination and administration of large-scale technology projects
