Research Associate or Intern Position under Professor Chandan Chowdhury, Operations Management and Information Systems Area, Indian School of Business

Position details:

ISB is looking for candidates with strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, and excellent communication skills. We seek applications from motivated individuals with a strong academic background to work as Research Associates at ISB. Research Associates (RA) generally go on to pursue Ph.D. in internationally renowned business schools after working at ISB for 2-3 years.

There is an RA position available in the Operations Management and Information System Area with Professor Chandan Chowdhury.

The candidate will assist the faculty in their ongoing research work which includes development of questionnaires, online surveys, analytical models, solution algorithms and designing of computational experiments. The position is best suited for a candidate with an interest in pursuing a PhD down the line.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

1) Master’s level degree (A bachelor level, 4-year degree with a high CGPA too is fine). Background (Statistics, Analytics, Supply Chains) is highly desired.

2) Familiarity with a programming language (Python/R, C++) .

3) Statistical programming skills in Stata, R, or similar packages is also required.

Skills and Qualifications

1) B Tech from IIT, NIT or BITS (preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering) or M. Stat or M.S. in Quantitative Economics from ISI or comparable institutes.

2) Consistently high CGPA, evidence of academic excellence.

3) The candidate must have high standards in terms of quality of work, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and absolute commitment to task completion.
