Research Associate Position with Professor Shashwat Alok, Finance Area, Indian School of Business

Position details:

ISB is looking for candidates with strong analytical and quantitative capabilities and excellent communication skills. We seek applications from motivated individuals with a strong academic background to work as Research Associates at ISB. Research Associates (RA) generally go on to pursue Ph.D. in internationally renowned business schools after working at ISB for 2-3 years.

There is one RA position available in the Finance Area with Professor Shashwat Alok.

The candidate will assist the faculty in their ongoing research work, which includes data collection, data manipulation, literature review, designing econometric setups, drafting research papers, etc.

The position is best suited for a candidate with an interest in pursuing a Ph.D. in Finance down the line. The candidate must have high standards in terms of quality of work, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and absolute commitment to task completion.
 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s level degree (A bachelor-level, 4-year degree with a high CGPA, too, is acceptable)
• A strong background in Mathematics/Engineering/Economics/Finance
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, R, etc.)
   

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• An undergraduate degree from premier institutions like IIT, NIT, BITS, etc., and/or MBA from premier institutions like IIMs
• Statistical programming skills in STATA or other similar packages
• Consistently high CGPA, evidence of academic excellence
