RA with Prof Ramana Sonti

The Indian School of Business wants to recruit promising young researchers in the discipline of Accounting, Finance, Economics and Public Policy, Information Systems, Marketing, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, and Strategy. We seek applications from motivated individuals with a strong academic background to work as Research Associates at ISB. Research Associates (RA) generally go on to pursue a Ph.D. in internationally renowned business schools after working at ISB for 2-3 years.

There is one RA position available with Professor Ramana Sonti in the Finance Area.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE POSITION IN FINANCE

RESPONSIBILITIES

· The candidate will assist the professor in ongoing research work leading to research papers, along with the development of teaching material including case studies.

· The candidate must have very high standards in terms of work quality, attention to detail, and absolute commitment to task completion.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

· A strong interest in Economics and Finance with a passion for research

· B Tech from IIT, NIT or BITS

MBA/ PGDBM from premier institutions like IIMs (preferably in Strategy/macro OB area)

Any other premier institute

Consistently high CGPA, evidence of academic excellence.

· The candidate must have high standards in terms of quality of work, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and absolute commitment to task completion, be ready to go beyond regular work hours, if required

· Excellent analytical and programming skills (Prior experience or training in data science/ statistics is preferred)

· Candidates that have expertise in data handling and statistical analysis—including R and Python will have an edge.

· Candidates that have demonstrated ability to pursue academic or industry-oriented research are preferred

· Excellent communication and writing skills

· This position is a good fit for those looking to do a PhD in the future.
