Research Associate Position under Professor Rajib L. Saha, Information Systems Area, Indian School of Business

Position details

ISB is looking for candidates with strong analytical and quantitative capabilities and excellent communication skills. We seek applications from motivated individuals with a strong academic background to work as Research Associates at ISB. Research Associates (RA) generally go on to pursue Ph.D. in internationally renowned business schools after working at ISB for 2-3 years.

There is one RA position available in the Information Systems Area with Professor Rajib L. Saha.

The candidate will assist the faculty in their ongoing research work, which includes developing analytical and econometric models, and conducting experiments. The position is best suited for a candidate with an interest in pursuing a Ph.D. down the line.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s level degree (A bachelor level, 4-year degree with a high CGPA too is acceptable).
• A background in quantitative and statistical skills is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with some programming languages and data analytics (preferably R/ Python, SQL, etc.)  is a must.

Educational Background

• B.Tech. from premier engineering colleges, preferably majoring in Computer Science
• Or M.Sc. in Economics or Statistics from premier institutions with proficiency in programming languages.
• Or MBA PGDBM from premier institutions like IIMs, preferably majoring in Information Systems, Technology Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Consistently high CGPA, evidence of academic excellence.

The candidate must have high standards in terms of quality of work, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and absolute commitment to task completion.

Location: Hyderabad

Travel requirement: While the position is primarily based out of Hyderabad, it will require some travel to other cities to conduct field experiments and meet clients collaborating with us on the research projects.
