Job Purpose

Perform data analysis and modelling on data sets associated with education and learning under the Digital Learning initiatives at ISB.

Job Outline

1) Perform hands-on data analysis and modeling with data sets for the online courses

2) Statistical modeling, model fitting, machine learning, educational data mining on datasets

3) Run regular tests and statistical analysis, draw conclusions on the accuracy of the data

4) Dive deep into a wide range of education and learning areas of interest to identify opportunities and recommend solutions to foster robust learning outcomes

5) Create insightful data stories for the learning design teams and other stakeholders

BE/BTech/MTech in
Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information technology/Electronics
OR
Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT)

·       2+ years of professional industry experience doing quantitative analysis. An advanced degree (MS, PhD) in a quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Econometrics, Physics) a plus.

·       Experience using statistical computer languages (Python and related data science tools, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from data sets. Preferred: Strong knowledge of Python

·       Ability to create mathematical and statistical models

·       Prior experience in working with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence methods using Python

·       Good expertise in SQL environment and ability to write complex SQL queries using database tables

·       Professional experience in developing models

·       Expertise in designing and testing experiments.

·       Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
