Intern – External Relations

Location: Mohali campus

The Indian School of Business (ISB) is seeking applications for an Intern at the department of External Relations. This position holder will be responsible of executing day-to-day activities of External Relations department and provide support to the team members in external outreach and engagement. The applicant must possess strong communication skills and be uncompromisingly committed to quality

The position holder will report to the Manager, External Relations.

About External Relations’ department:

ISB’s External Relations’ mission echoes well with one of the mission statements of the school which says, ‘To utilize the knowledge and expertise to engage with business, government and society, and to contribute to the welfare and development of the community at the local, national, and global levels.’

With this mandate, the office of External Relations (ER) at the Indian School of Business engages with key external stakeholders like government, industry associations, diplomatic community, Educational Institutions, NGOs etc. Team ER works closely with many internal stakeholders including Research Centres and Institutes, administrative departments in building partnerships and school’s brand.

Key Responsibilities:

1.     Database management: Manage the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool and update the contacts database periodically as per the defined processes. Maintain a record of our engagement with external stakeholders / visitors.

2.   Events execution: Execute high quality events / visits, take care of events logistics, end-to-end execution of the events. Coordination with speakers’, invite relevant audiences, arranging refreshments, coordination with vendors.

3.     Administrative tasks:

  1. Processing bills, reimbursement claims, preparing expense reports, travel booking, raising PRs / POs and payments etc. Organise meetings, file all incoming / outgoing letters, invitations, reports filing etc.
  2.  Coordinate with internal departments within the school and external stakeholders including guests, visitors, vendors.
  3.  Reports preparation, making presentations, archiving events’ / visits’ photos, videos.

Desired profile

  • Work experience: Ideal candidates will have experience in maintaining databases, hand-on experience of working a good CRM tool preferably Salesforce, e-mail marketing, office administration and event management. Having initial experience of one-two years is an added advantage.
  •  Education: Graduate degree in any stream.

In addition, we expect the candidate to possess

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  •   Should be proficient in MS office and strong in Presentations and Excel sheet.
  • Prior knowledge or experience in handling Salesforce or any such software would be an added advantage.
  •   Strong organisational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
  • Detail oriented, process oriented, independent, and self-driven, team player
