The Office of Advancement at the Indian School of Business engages with the school’s alumni, private corporations, foundations, and individuals to further the cause of advancement by soliciting funding for scholarships, research, school’s infrastructure, and upcoming initiatives of the school, etc.

About the position

ISB is seeking applications for Senior Manager – Advancement Operations at the Office of Advancement. The position holder will act as the office manager of the department and responsible for administration, compliance, documentation and MIS. The position holder will work with various internal stakeholders like Operations, MarComm, ER, IT, Commercials in ensuring high standards of donor services management. They must possess strong communication and execution skills and be uncompromisingly committed to quality and ownership of outcomes and results. The work location for this position will be at either the Hyderabad or Mohali Campus of the ISB.

Key responsibilities for this position

  • Administration: Primary admin support to the Head of Advancement and responsible for routine office management activities including budget tracking, procurement, compliance.
  • Documentation: Streamlining and documentation of processes, creation of SOPs as required. Work with advancement communications and assist in the preparation of annual report and other collaterals. Ensure timely updating of database by various team leads. Preparation of monthly reports for the school leadership.
  • Donor services management: Manage monthly reconciliation of income and expenses and work with Finance to ensure that all donations are properly recorded, reconciled and acknowledged.
  • Event management and participation: Planning and coordinating events for the Advancement team in coordination with various internal leads.
  • Website: Manage the Advancement page on and provide regular updates.

Candidate profile

Ideal candidates will have a keen interest in fundraising and stakeholder management skills. They also must have demonstrated resilience and perseverance in their prior assignments, and a high degree of customer service orientation.

Desired education and experience

  • Strong experience in administration, events, budgeting and database management.  
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, including acumen to convey information effectively verbally and in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience; active listening skills; the ability to persuade others; and to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the campus and with external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational, analytical, project management, and critical thinking skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, exercise good judgment, and work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Good to have: 8-10 years of relevant along with a bachelor’s degree
  • Good to have: A prior background of having worked for top educational institutions/non-profit organizations.
