Website Manager - Marketing and Communications Department

The Marketing and Communications Department at ISB leads brand building initiatives for the School. It supervises and directs the workflow of the School's outreach through marketing channels (website, events, social media, online, print, etc.), advertising, and public relations functions. It also works with other departments within and outside the School to enhance, protect and safeguard the institution's brand value across the globe and across all channels..

We are currently seeking a candidate to join our team as a Website Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of the School’s website, and bring with them strong skills in information technology, marketing, and website development.

 

The position holder will report to the Senior Manager - Marketing and Communications.

Key responsibilities

·       Managing the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the School’s website, including the creation of new content, and auditing existing content for improvement

·       Managing press releases, blog posts and event stories on the website, reviewing images and videos, and creating webpages/microsites as per user requirements

·       Developing new user-facing features, in collaboration with user departments, and building reusable code and libraries for future use

·       Responding to and troubleshooting website issues; ensuring that the website is protected by enabling and monitoring appropriate security measures

·       Improving the user experience of the website regularly and assisting with SEO efforts

  • Managing department-level users and training content authors for optimal use of the website and its features


Candidate profile

·       A degree in computer science, IT, or related qualification with 6-8 years of experience as a website manager

·       Expert knowledge HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Adobe suite and CMS

·       Good understanding of Google Analytics, Search Engine Optimization, and firewalls

·       Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manger, Drupal, WordPress, Wix, and other online website development tools

  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools and editing software

Desired attributes

·       Strong project management skills with the ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment

·       Strong attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills

·       Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task

·       A good understanding of how website content interacts with and impacts user needs

·       Good to have: Exposure to UI/UX design

·       Good to have: An understanding of graphic design fundamentals
