A Second-generation entrepreneur, Mr Kiran Kumar Grandhi has worked with the GMR group for over 24 years and held several leadership positions. Currently, Mr Grandhi is the Corporate Chairman of GMR Group overseeing Group Finance and Corporate Strategy, Planning & Development.  He is also a Member of the Group Holding Board, GMR Group. Mr Grandhi has been instrumental in winning several successful infrastructure bids for the Group under Public-Private Partnership route with the Central and State Governments in sectors like airports, highways, etc.

In 2013 Mr Grandhi took over as the Corporate Chairman of GMR Group and since then he has led the fund-raising efforts for the group totaling over USD 3 bn in equity. Mr Grandhi has overseen strategic investments in Airports and Energy Sectors from Paris based international airport operator and Malaysian multinational electricity company. Mr Grandhi has also been instrumental in GMR Group’s foray into the sports vertical through the acquisition and management of multiple sports franchises in India and abroad.

An exceptional people leader, Mr Grandhi spends a substantial amount of time planning and reviewing the development of the next generation of leaders for the Organization. He also takes active part in GMR Varalakshmi Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the Group.

Mr Grandhi is a Member of the Young Global Leader Class of 2015 of the World Economic Forum and Young Presidents Organization. He regularly attends and presents his views at renowned global seminars and industry forums. On the family front, Mr Kiran Kumar Grandhi is married to Ms Ragini Kiran Grandhi who is a Director of GMR Varalakshmi Foundation. Mr Kiran Grandhi has two sons - Master GM Ruchir and Master GM Riddhiman.
