Valerie Remoquillo-Jenni

Ms Valerie Remoquillo-Jenni brings her leadership and managerial expertise in family advisory, philanthropy, and social entrepreneurship to the newly established Fourfold Foundation. As its first CEO, she works closely with the Thomas Schmidheiny Family to develop the organization’s vision and strategic direction. Valerie oversees the family’s broad international philanthropic portfolio, covering themes from education to human rights, from arts to sustainability.

Valerie started out her career in the development sector, first as a specialist trainer in fundraising and advocacy for NGOs in the Asia-Pacific region. She eventually spearheaded an Asia-Europe education exchange platform backed by 41 governments that sought to foster greater collaboration among students, researchers, and education ministries from the two continents. Valerie was also director of community relations for an award-winning social business that promoted smallholder farmers.

Valerie brought her varied on-the-ground experience to design effective and engaging philanthropic programs for wealthy families and their foundations. For nearly a decade at a Zurich-based multi-family office, she also developed and led family governance offerings that sought to link family vision, values, and action. Deepening her interest in a holistic approach to family advisory, Valerie developed THRIVE, a framework for family well-being that has defined her consulting approach.

Valerie earned her Master’s in Public Affairs cum laude at Sciences Po in Paris on a Bourse d’Excellence Eiffel scholarship. She holds an Advanced Certificate in Family Wealth Advising (ACFWA) from the Family Firm Institute.
