Mr Vijay Dalmia is the President and Director of the MLD Group of Companies – a family owned and controlled business group named after his late grandfather. MLD is a diversified business group having interests in tea, jute, industrial packaging, renewable energy, real estate, warehousing, and investments, and has a pan-India presence having manufacturing units in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and marketing offices and distribution network spread over almost all states of India.

Mr Dalmia is the Founding member of the YPO SA Blue Ocean Regional Integrated. He is also a Member of Indian Tea Association (ITA) & Tea Research Association (TRA) and Jute Laminators Association (JLA) & All India Flat Tape Manufacturers Association (AIFTMA). He also serves on the boards of various companies, and philanthropic institutions including Dhapa Devi Dalmia Charitable Trust (DDDCT), Parmarth Niketan, Jairam Ashram, and MLD Foundation.

Mr Dalmia is currently pursuing the Executive Fellowship Program in Management (PhD.) at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He has also completed Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad in 2003.
