Under this program, we invite you to our series of workshops on #BuildwithLlama in partnership with Meta under Llama Impact Grants. This workshop is for developers to get started on building with open source Llama for impactful use-cases and understand various tools and techniques.

Why LLaMA?

Llama 3.2 is a collection of large language models (LLMs) pretrained and fine-tuned in 1B and 3B sizes that are multilingual text only, and 11B and 90B sizes that take both text and image inputs and output text. Llama models have been downloaded over 350 million times on Hugging Face alone, making Llama the leading open source model family.

• Efficiency and performance: Llama is designed to be highly efficient and performant, with unmatched flexibility, control, and state-of-the-art capabilities that rival the best closed source models. Llama is optimised to run with fewer computational resources, making it accessible to more developers and organizations without needing massive hardware.
• Family of models: Llama 3.2 includes small and medium-sized vision LLMs (11B and 90B), and lightweight, text-only models (1B and 3B) that fit onto edge and mobile devices, including pre-trained and instruction-tuned versions.
• Open source model: Llama is an open source model which allows researchers, developers, and organisations to use and fine-tune the model for various applications with out any license fees.
• Customization and flexibility: Since Llama is open-source, it is more customisable and predictable compared to other models allowing for greater access and control.
