ISB supports APSSDC’s Jagannana Summer Fellowship Program

Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation recently launched the Jagananna Summer Fellowship Program in May 2021. The objective of this program is to expose students to various aspects of policy making in state and central government schemes. The duration of this fellowship program is three months and is being conducted in online mode.

15 Fellows were selected from a pool of 2600 applicants. Ankit Agarwal and Dr Sridhar Bhagavathula from ISB supported APSSDC in interviewing the shortlisted students.  

The summer fellows shall work across the five themes of Navaratnalu Schemes (Government of Andhra Pradesh’s Nine Welfare Schemes); Agriculture Supply Chain and Value Addition; Atmanirbhar Bharat and PLI Scheme; Service Sector and Elderly Care and Self-Revenue Generation for APSSDC to study policy inputs and road map for implementation.

A panel of ISB faculty, Professor Aaditya Dar, Assistant Professor, Economics and Public Policy, Professor Raghuram Bommaraju, Senior Assistant Professor, Marketing, Professor Kiran Pedada, Assistant Professor, Marketing and Professor Anusha Sirigiri, Assistant Professor, Entrepreneurship, are guiding the Fellows as their mentors by providing them technical guidance in finalization of the research methodology, review their work and supporting them in policy analysis and recommendations. ISB staff Hemanth Guthala and Dr Sridhar Bhagavathula are also involved in guiding the Fellows.

ISB is delighted to associate with APSSDC in this fellowship program and would continue to support the Government of Andhra Pradesh in such future endeavours.
