ISB faculty Anjal Prakash has appreciated the move of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) to bring up the action plan to achieve net zero carbon emissions in Gurugram by 2050, “Gurgaon's pursuit of net zero status demonstrates leadership in addressing climate change and sets a positive example for other cities,” shares Prof Prakash.

Here’s an excerpt from the article: “The action plan, essentially a policy document, has been made by the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) with support from research firm The Celestial Earth and the Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, which helps in energy transition. It will be shared with various departments so that they can take steps towards achieving this target, officials said. The plan is intended to serve as a guide for policymakers to implement sustainable development strategies. It deals in four parts – on energy, waste, transport and greenery.”
