Giving his views on the impact of climate change in the Himalayan region, Anjal Prakash of BIPP says that there should be a national focus on three key issues when discussing adaptation to climate impacts in the Himalayan context. Firstly, all new infrastructure projects must consider climate-related risks while designing, planning, and executing them. Secondly, Himalayan adaptation needs to be rooted in the contexts of forests, water, and community rights, and last the need to monitor Himalayan glaciers closely. Read his views on Mint Lounge. He also gets quoted in China Daily.
