UP Governor, VCs of 9 state universities visit ISB to understand the best practices of higher education management

[June 8, 2022, Mohali] Smt. Anandiben Patel, Hon'ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, visited the Mohali campus of the Indian School of Business today. A delegation of vice chancellors of nine state universities accompanied the Governor on this visit as part of a study tour to understand the best practices of higher education management.

The Governor along with the vice chancellors interacted with Prof Ramabhadran Thirumalai, Deputy Dean, ISB Mohali Campus and Academic Programmes; Dibyendu Bose, Senior Director, Admissions & Financial Aid and Alumni Engagement; and DNV Kumara Guru, Director External Relations, and Marketing & Communications to understand the academic procedures, infrastructure, and alumni engagement to replicate the same from the institution.

The Governor emphasised on the need to provide quality education in state universities and said that the study tour to ISB provided valuable insights to replicate the same. She found the vision of ISB, on-ground practices and efforts to elevate academic standards to international levels a strong USP of the institution.
