Vishal Karungulam is a Clinical Assistant Professor (Teaching) at the Indian School of Business – where he teaches courses on Software Product Management, Digital Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, Design Thinking, Software Start-ups and Disruptive Technologies.

Prior to this, Vishal was the Head of Product for Data Analytics & BI Products at Google India, leading the Self-Service and Governed BI Products - Looker Studio and Looker, while also overseeing various data and analytics products.

Prior to Google, Vishal has held various product and software engineering leadership roles at Microsoft. He was the Group Product Manager, leading product management teams building Software for Surface, Xbox, HoloLens and was the product lead for Azure FarmBeats. He also played a pivotal role in Microsoft's Supply Chain Transformation across hardware products and Azure.

Before Microsoft, Vishal worked as Lead Software Engineer for various large healthcare and hi-tech customers at Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.

A TEDx speaker, musician and an avid quizzer, Vishal is passionate about bringing together the worlds of industry and academia.
