Using data and visualisations towards credible news’ – India Data Portal team in collaboration with the Ajaymeru Press Club, Ajmer conducted a workshop on Sunday, 26 June 2022 for journalists in the city. The workshop focussed on using clean, open access public data and how to present the data in an attractive manner. Dr Ramesh Agarwal, President of the Press Club inaugurated the event. Welcoming the attendees, Rajendra Gunjal, General Secretary, Press Club said, “www.indiadataportal.com is a free platform to fulfil such data and visualisation needs of the media fraternity.” The workshop was attended by who’s who of the city of Ajmer. Prof Anil Kumar Shukla, Vice Chancellor of the Dayanand Saraswati University was the chief guest. Mayor Brajlata Hada presided over the event. She was accompanied by Ruby Jain Councillor, Vaishali Nagar, Ajmer. The workshop session was conducted by Deepti Soni, Sr Consultant with support from Upendra Singh, Consultant at the Bharti Institute of Public Policy, Indian School of Business.
