Rajesh Kumar is the General Manager at SIDBI, an apex All India Financial Institution for promotion, financing and development and of MSMEs in India. In his career span of over 27 years with SIDBI and its subsidiary SIDBI Venture Capital Limited (SVCL) he has managed a wide range of credit products including project finance, working capital finance, micro credit, equity, quasi-equity and impact investments.

Has also played an effective role of monitoring, handholding and advising MSMEs and MFIs in various capacities including as nominee Board member. He served as CEO of SVCL, an investment management company for venture funds with total committed capital exceeding ₹1750 crore.

For over last 3 years, Rajesh was helping the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) in implementation of PM SVANidhi Scheme, a flagship financial inclusion scheme of MoHUA, Govt. of India, for Street Vendors. Through an end-to-end digital platform, this scheme has extended more than 73 lakh micro loans to about 56 lakh Street Vendors amounting to over ₹9,600 crore where SIDBI is the Implementation Partner of the Ministry for PM SVANidhi Scheme. 

Rajesh holds M Tech from IIT, Roorkee and PGDBM from NMIMS, Mumbai.
