Dr. Sudha Chandrashekar is a MBBS medical doctor s (1998) with over 24 years of experience. master’s degree in community medicine (2003) .First Rank for the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, India. worked in the Department of Epidemiology at the National Institute of Mental Health Sciences, as Associate Professor, St.John’s research Institute, professor at srinivasa institute of medical sciences, Post-graduate institutions like London School of Hygiene and tropical medicine, clinical work consultant Occupational health. worked with Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust, an autonomous trust under Dept. of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Karnataka as Project manager and Director Medical. Senior Consultant to World Bank to provide technical assistance to National Health authority, MOHFW, GOI in implementation of Ayushman Bharath Scheme. consultant to Health System transformation Platform, funded by Bill and Melinda Gates foundation and tata trust with a major focus on Odisha state to provide technical assistance to Department of Health, Odisha for their implementation of UHC scheme and health system research in collaboration with Harvard School of Public health for strengthening of the state health system.

Recipient of two Young Scientist awards from the Karnataka Association of Community health and Indian Association for occupational health for her research work in the field of Occupational Medicine.

In May 2008 Sudha received Global Health Leadership Award from the Global Health Research Initiative, Canada (1,83,000 canadian dollars) to pursue her further specialization in Health Economics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). She is an accredited examiner for university of London and an associate fellow of higher education academy, University of London, UK.
