Planning in long term: ISB faculty explains the impact of COVID-19 on Air Pollution Response

ISB faculty Anjal Prakash is quoted in an article in the Sunday Mid-day, wherein he underscores the critical importance of long-term planning in addressing environmental concerns. 

“The argument by activists suggesting that the diversion of resources to address the COVID-19 pandemic has led to insufficient monitoring and public representation in addressing air pollution, holds merit. During the pandemic, resources and attention understandably shifted towards healthcare and crisis management, potentially affecting monitoring and response to other pressing issues like air quality,” he says.
