ISB organises orientation programme for the fellows of Indian Administrative Fellowship

The Indian School of Business in partnership with the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA), Government of Punjab, organised an orientation programme for the fellows of the Indian Administrative Fellowship Programme (IAF). A few sessions on relevant topics were organised by ISB faculty members at the Mohali campus.

Professor Krishnamurthy Vaidyanathan, Assistant Professor (Practice), Finance, ISB, talked about ‘Economics and Finance in Public Policy’ and Dr Avik Sarkar, Visiting Associate Professor and Consultant, ISB Institute of Data Sciences, shared insights on ‘Data Driven Policy Making’ and how we can use data to drive effective policy making for the public good.

Chandan Chowdhury, Professor of Operations Management, and Information Systems (Practice) and Executive Director- Punj Lloyd Institute of Infrastructure Management and Munjal Institute of Global Manufacturing, delivered a session on ‘The Impact of Industry 4.0 on Employment and the Future of Jobs’. The session emphasised various factors determining the future of employment in India.

DNV Kumara Guru, Senior Director, External Relations, shared a presentation about ISB, where he talked about the School’s achievements and programmes.

The Indian Administrative Fellowship Programme by The Nudge Institute is an 18-month long programme for high achievers from the private sector to impact millions of lives by extending the reach and efficiency of large-scale government programs under the guidance of visionary civil servants and the state administrative ecosystem.‍ The programme targets to provide a platform for senior professionals to partner with the administration for extensively strategising and implementing current and envisaged programs for attaining sustained progress across state-level development indicators.
