The Indian School of Business (ISB) celebrated the graduation of its Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) Class of 2023, Hyderabad Cohort; Post Graduate Programme in Management for Senior Executives (PGPMAX) Class of 2022; and its doctoral programmes – Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) and Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EPM) at its Hyderabad Campus with Ms. Falguni Nayar, Founder and CEO, Nykaa, addressing the graduands as the Chief Guest.

574 students from the PGP Class of 2023; 64 students from the PGPMAX Class of 2022; four scholars from FPM; and eight scholars from EFPM graduated from their programmes today.

Acknowledging the graduating students for their dedication and commitment, Ms. Falguni Nayar said, “Lifelong learning has never been more relevant than today. Digital transformation is today the key driver of nearly every industry, from commerce to finance to healthcare - you name it - and businesses and individuals must adapt to this ever-evolving new world. Reimagining how business operates from the ground up, leveraging technology to create value for customers, and driving constant innovation is critical. Approach the power of technology with a growth mindset. Embrace experimentation and iteration, and don't be afraid to fail.”

Harish Manwani, Chairperson of the ISB Board, reminded the graduating students that the expectation from business has undergone a fundamental change. “In this new paradigm, your focus should not only be on creating economic value but also on solving the challenges and needs of the communities you will serve. The need of the hour is responsible leadership and a firm belief that business can do well and do good at the same time,” he said.

Professor Madan Pillutla, Dean, ISB, exhorted the graduating classes to firm up the mindset of being resilient and taking obstacles along the way in their stride. “Recently, we had all witnessed the disruptions caused by the pandemic and the resulting uncertainty. While it threw us all off our tracks for a while, it also taught us to be resilient and to not take the future for granted. There will be challenges, but I urge you, dear graduates, to take those challenges head on,” he said.

The graduation ceremony also celebrated the accomplishments of meritorious students by announcing awards to students who excelled in academics and extra-curricular activities and those who had demonstrated exemplary leadership skills through the course of their programmes.

Ekansh Khatter and Sai Avinash Revanur were announced as gold medallists from the PGP Class of 2023, Hyderabad Cohort.
