Prime Minister Narendra Modi graces the 20th anniversary celebrations and the combined graduation ceremony

May 26, 2022, Hyderabad:  
Indian School of Business today celebrated its graduation ceremony for the PGP Class of 2022 and its 20th anniversary, presided by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. 923 students graduated from the School today. ISB’s Post Graduate Programme in Management is among the top 5 largest MBA classes globally among FT 100 business schools.

Speaking at the ceremony, Shri Modi said, "The world believes India means business, and a major reason for that is institutions like the Indian School of Business, which nurture business leaders and wealth creators of the future. Today ISB is one of the top business schools in Asia; professionals coming out of ISB are giving impetus to the business of the country".

Earlier, Prime Minister Modi planted a Parijat sapling, followed by a campus tour where Harish Manwani, Chairman of the ISB Executive Board and Dean Madan Pillutla briefed him about the milestones of the School. Welcoming the Prime Minister to ISB, Dean Pillutla, said, "As the School is now entering its third decade, we aspire to be a resource for the nation and play our part in achieving the positive transformation that has been the centerpiece of the PM's leadership." Stating the ISB faculty are attempting to solve India-centric problems through rigorous research-led insights, he further asked the Prime Minister how ISB can support his vision of nation-building.   

Prime Minister Modi felicitated the gold medallist, scholars of excellence, Chairperson's All-rounder, and the Parmeshwar Godrej Award winner. Abhijeet Mukhekar received the gold medal from the Hon'ble Prime Minister for topping the class.

Chairman Harish Manwani thanked the Prime Minister for gracing the occasion and said it is an honour for ISB to host him. Hon'ble Governor of Telangana Smt. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Hon'ble Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Shri Kishan Reddy, and Shri Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Minister, Government of Telangana graced the occasion.  

To celebrate 20 years of ISB, Prime Minster Modi released the ISB My Stamp and unveiled a commemorative plaque.
