Haryana Governor visits ISB, inaugurates AMPPP 2022-23 batch

[08 August, 2022] Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Hon'ble Governor of Haryana, today visited The Indian School of Business, Mohali campus and formally inaugurated the 2022-2023 batch of the Advanced Management Programme in Public Policy (AMPPP).  

AMPP is the flagship programme of Bharti Institute of Public Policy (BIPP) and has been developed at ISB in consultation with one of the world’s leading public policy schools-- The Fletcher School, Tufts University, USA.

The Hon’ble Governor expressed thanks to ISB- BIPP for designing a programme like AMPPP that caters to the needs of mid-career professionals serving in public and private sector. He said that the programme provides an opportunity to upskill and gives a sense of dynamism.

He appreciated the diversity of the AMPPP Class of 2022-23, which has 35 participants from various sectors, including officials from the All India Civil Services, state governments, public sector, besides senior professionals from private organisations.

Addressing the participants, the Hon’ble Governor urged them to promote inclusive growth in the country as well as be the voice of the underprivileged. He stated that the goal of good governance is at the heart of public policy. He also talked about core values, which he said should be imbibed: integrity, respect, diversity, professionalism, and collaboration of thoughts and actions.

Thanking the Hon’ble Governor, Professor Ashwini Chhatre, Executive Director, BIPP, said that ISB is honoured to have Shri Bandaru Dattatreya as the chief guest for the inaugural session. “In a short time, AMPPP has emerged as one of the country's sought-after training programmes for public policy practitioners. It is inspiring to witness extensive participation of the private sector in AMPPP. We are happy to continue imparting quality education through this program," Professor Chhatre said.
