Kashish Arora, Assistant Professor, Operations Management at the ISB, completed his B Tech from the premier Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He finished his Masters in Management from INSEAD. His Masters in Operations Management and his PhD in Technology and Operations Management are from Cornell University.

Professor Arora is working at the intersection of technology and operations management. He has a broad spectrum of research interests, including working on platforms and supply chains, sustainable transportation, marketplaces, industrial organisations and more.

His areas of research interest also include customer preference, environmental effects, congestion management, and even the impact of climate change and airline delays. “I am an empirical and data-analytics researcher,” said Professor Arora when asked about his broad interests.

He has completed his PhD under the tutelage of eminent academicians like Vishal Gaur, Professor of Information Technology and Operations Management at S C Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.

He also has considerable experience as a teaching assistant at INSEAD and, later, Cornell University. He had handheld MBA students with their Operations Management course and Information Technology tools-related papers.

Here at ISB, he would be teaching business analytics and tools that allow managers to perform for the operations of their firms and explore newer matrices for evaluating customer preferences, and congestion management. “I wanted to return to India to continue my research. Given ISB’s research focus, it was where I wanted to be,” shared Professor Arora.
