ISB scores highest on Learning and Networking Parameters
December 10, 2019: Indian School of Business has been ranked in the Bloomberg Businessweek’s ranking of the Best Global Business Schools of 2019-20.
The ISB’s Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) has been ranked #4 in the Asia-Pacific region announced today. Bloomberg Businessweek ranked 131 business schools around the world to find the best programs to get an MBA .The list is based on the data compiled from more than 9000 students, 14,920 alumni and 2860 corporate recruiters, and compensation and job-placement data from each school. The 2019–20 Best B-Schools results were broken down into four regions: Europe, Asia-Pacific, Canada and US. In addition to the overall ranking, schools are separately ranked on four component indexes -compensation, networking, learning, and entrepreneurship - providing students more ways to evaluate what schools have to offer them.
Talking about these rankings, Professor Rajendra Srivastava, Dean ISB, said, “The Bloomberg rankings certainly bring us a lot of joy. We are ranked #4 and are the only B-School listed from India. Moreover, we are ranked #1 on the Learning and Networking parameter, and #2 on Entrepreneurship and #5 in Compensation in the Asia pacific region, which talks a lot about the School’s mettle and the strong alumni connect. These rankings award our efforts of bringing good compensation, networking platform, and best learning experience to our students and affirm our vision of creating leaders for India and the world. I congratulate ISB faculty, staff, and students, for their hard work that reflects on the School’s achievements.”
For these rankings, Bloomberg Businessweek has surveyed ISB’s PGP Class of 2019 along with the alumni network of PGP Co2011, Co2012, and Co2013. For non-U.S.-based schools, such as ISB, salaries submitted in local currencies were converted to U.S. dollars, using the average exchange rate for the year ending August 30, 2019. Salaries were not adjusted for purchasing power parity.
Bloomberg Businessweek rankings are based on the inputs provided by the graduating students, recent alumni, and companies that recruit MBAs. Their answers determine the weightings of each of the indexes. The rankings also highlight and measure facts such as the atmosphere on campus for women, for people with disabilities other traditionally underrepresented groups. ISB is proud to have done well on all such parameters.
ISB has recently started participating in select rankings across the globe. The School has recently been ranked 7th globally in the Forbes Best Business Schools 2019 rankings for its PGP and ranked #24 worldwide as per the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2019.
