ISB Study shows Fleet-Footed Family Firms adapted to the Changing Landscape

Thomas Schmidheiny Centre for Family Enterprise released an insightful study that reiterates how family firms are playing a catalytic role in reshaping the Indian economy and charting new vibrant businesses portfolio. The white paper titled – ‘Family businesses and India’s transition to a service led economy (1991 – 2018)’ was released at the webinar hosted on August 03, 2020. 

The study investigates a sample of 4,589 firms over a 28 years period and reiterates how family firms are playing a catalytic role in reshaping Indian economy and charting new vibrant businesses portfolio. The white paper was released by Padmashree Mr BVR Mohan Reddy, Chairman, Cyient Ltd and former Chairman NASSCOM and Ms Sonu Bhasin, Family Business Historian and Founder and Editor-in-Chief: The FAB Magazine in the presence of the authors of the report -Dr. Nupur Pavan Bang, Nandil Bhatia and Professor Kavil Ramachandran of the Thomas Schmidheiny Centre for Family Enterprise at ISB and Professor Sougata Ray of IIM Calcutta; and participants.
