The primary goal of this internship opportunity is to craft and implement a strategic marketing and communication campaign aimed at enhancing awareness and usage of India Data Portal (IDP), fostering greater user engagement, and encouraging its adoption within educational institutes and the student community nationwide.

Application Process:

Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a comprehensive proposal outlining their plan for executing the marketing and communication campaign targeted at educational institutes and the student community at university level from Economics, Public Policy, and Social and Behavioural Sciences.

Selection Process

Selection to ISB’s internship opportunity is highly competitive. Only the shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a pitch presentation followed by an interview conducted by a committee of expert members from the Bharti Institute of Public Policy at ISB.

Objective

  • Develop a deep understanding of the IDP platform, its features, and its capability to create potential impact on educational institutions and students at university level from Economics, Public Policy, and other Social and Behavioural Sciences.
  • Identify key target audiences within educational institutes and the student community and their information needs.
  • Design and implement targeted marketing strategies to reach and engage with these audiences effectively.
  • Populate India Data Portal on online networking platforms.
  • Create compelling content and messaging tailored to resonate with students and educators, highlighting the value proposition of the IDP.
  • Implement training the trainer module.
  • One should be able to leverage both offline and online mode to maximise the reach.
  • Utilize various communication channels, including social media, email newsletters, webinars, and partnerships with student organizations and academic institutions, to amplify the reach of the campaign.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance metrics to assess effectiveness and inform adjustments as needed.

 

The Proposal Should Include

  • An overview of your understanding of the IDP platform and its relevance to educational institutes and students.
  • Identify your hometown or the city that you are comfortable residing in during your internship period where you are strategically positioned to execute the campaign best.
  • You are also encouraged to leverage online mode for meetings and training stakeholders to extend your reach. In our previous nationwide drive, we were able to reach out to the Press Clubs and journalists in all major cities - a key takeaway from Covid 19 restrictions.
  • Prepare the Pitch that showcases your passion and leadership skills to represent IDP at its fullest potential for meeting and onboarding the stakeholders (Dean/HoDs/faculty members/ Library members).
  • The output will be measured by inclusion of India Data Portal in the database in the online Library Resource center, simultaneously incorporating training the trainer’s module.
  • The outcome of the campaign will be measured by the impact created by the number of users on the portal– supported by a brief plan, we expect you to put your thinking cap on and be innovative.
  • A detailed marketing and communication plan outlining campaign objectives, strategies, synergies, and weekly timelines through a Gantt Chart with a specific focus on engaging the student community with possible engagement of educational institutes across the country.
  • Proposed content ideas and messaging strategies tailored to resonate with students and educators.
  • Plans for collaborating with student organizations, academic institutions, and other relevant stakeholders to promote IDP.
  • Any relevant experience or skills that demonstrate the candidate's ability to execute the proposed plan effectively in reaching and engaging with educational institutes and the student community.
  • Strategies for enhancing impression rates on Digital Social Networks, populate every milestone achieved irrespective of magnitude of accomplishments.

 

Intake Quantity & Stipend (April – May 2024) for students from Marketing Management and Communications Major.

  • A monthly fixed stipend of INR 8000 + A fixed cap of INR 5000 Conveyance paid upon reimbursement, or whichever is lesser.
  • Five Top Performers stand to win Prizes of INR 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, 25,000, and 35,000. Winners will be chosen by ISB committee members based on impactful presentations and demonstrated learning outcomes at the end of the internship, subject to fulfilling all objectives to enhance competitive advantage and ability.
