Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) grants BIPP, USD 2.18 million for developing India Data Portal (IDP)

India Data Portal (IDP) is a three year project to be implemented by BIPP. The IDP will serve as a one stop open-access portal for journalists, researchers, students, policy makers, administrators, NGOs, and entrepreneurs to access, interact with, and visualize information, data and knowledge related to agriculture and financial services. It is a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded project to develop a portal to house all public data on agriculture and financial services for the poor.


Policy Walk by MPPP 3rd Batch

In order to facilitate interaction with the policy makers, BIPP had planned a “Policy Walk” for the students of the Management Programme in Public Policy. The purpose of the visit is to meet the people who matter and who are at the helm of affairs with respect to policy formulation and implementation. The discussions and interactions have helped the students in understanding public policy in India with a practical and dynamic approach. During the session, the students interacted with Sh. Jayant Sinha, Hon'ble Minister of State for Civil Aviation - GoI, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman - NITI Aayog, HE Ms Harinder Sidhu - Australian High Commissioner to India, Dr. Junaid Kamal Ahmad, Country Director - The World Bank in India, Sh. Sudeep Lakhtakia, IPS, Director General - National Security Guard, Mr Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director - Dalmia Bharat Group, and a guided tour was organised at the ICI Airport.
