Job Purpose

The Max Institute of Healthcare Management (MIHM) at the ISB aims to impact the healthcare management sector through: (i) cutting edge research and thought leadership, (ii) innovative training and education programs, and (iii) outreach activities to engage with industry leaders.

 

To further this objective, the incumbent will –

(a)    Contribute to MIHM’s strategy

(b)    Lead the portfolio development of executive education programs (long as well as short duration)

(c)     Direct the development of ISB’s AMP for Healthcare (academic program)

(d)    Develop curriculum in public health management and find avenues to impart public health management programs

(e)    Develop teaching material in both private and public healthcare settings

(f)      Actively conceptualize and direct industry and government outreach activities that support MIHM’s research and education goals, and

(g)    Provide oversight to the day-to-day operations of the institute that includes research administration.

Academic Program:

(a)    AMPH: (i) Keep AMPH curriculum current and updated to the latest in the industry. This will include working with faculty to include topics in current courses and/or include new courses, (ii) Provide oversight in curating the cocurricular learning program for AMPH, (iii) Provide market intelligence and ideate marketing initiatives with AFA

(b)    Provide oversight to cross-program healthcare club collaboration (PGP, AMPH, PGP Pro) and provide support to student-led events. Eg Advaita.

(c)     Collaborate with Alumni Engagement in designing continued education to alumni from the healthcare industry and those who want to understand the healthcare industry.

Executive Education:
Lead the portfolio development of executive education (nonacademic) programs in healthcare management. Launch innovative executive education programs in association with ISB EE for senior executives from the healthcare industry by providing market intelligence on opportunity evaluation and learning needs of the target segment. These include open calendared, custom-designed, and partner programs.

Public Health programs:
Work with faculty and public health professionals in developing management modules for public health professionals. Work with ED and school leadership in developing a funding structure that is in line with the school’s policies. These could include external funding, scholarships, time-bound special pricing for market development etc.

Pedagogical tools development:
Engage with faculty and industry partners to develop pedagogical material (e.g., case studies, case lets) that will enhance the learning in these programs in collaboration with Center for Learning and Management Practice (CLMP).

Outreach:

(a)    Direct the communications function (social media and website) in line with School’s Marketing Communications guidelines for research dissemination, brand building for the institute and the educational programs.

(b)    Conceptualize and direct conferences and workshops to bring together industry and academic leaders to showcase faculty insights and identify new research opportunities.

Manage the day-to-day functioning of the institute, e.g. staff development (non-research), budget, timelines, grants management etc.
