About the TA Facility for ENACTS - Overview

ISB is setting up a Technical Assistance Facility to support agriculture-nutrition policy convergence  at the Government of India, where government stakeholders of both agriculture and nutrition identify synergies, collaborate and work together, at the level of both policy design and programmes, towards improving nutrition outcomes amongst low income populations in underserved geographies by building improving accessibility, availability and affordability of NDFs amongst this target segment, with a focus on Nutrient-dense foods, and emphasis on market-based approaches.

 

Job Purpose

Communication products are critical for amplifying and enhancing the effectiveness of the initiatives through crowding in stakeholders’ engagement with the initiatives and enabling knowledge sharing and peer learning amongst stakeholders for improved efficiencies.

The Communications Specialist will be responsible for creation & delivery of effective communication products -  curated and created for different sets of stakeholders across the country, for different end-uses and at different stages of the life cycle of the initiatives and, for enabling dissemination of research and knowledge products effectively, both amongst internal and external stakeholders.

 

Job Outline

Under the initiative for agriculture-nutrition convergence, communication products are required for seamless and necessary communication between the different stakeholders – internal and external (government and private), at different levels of geographies, i.e., at Centre to States, within States, State to local and local levels.

The Communications specialist will facilitate peer learning and amplifying of impact pathways through effective communication products, in text and multi-media formats. She/He will build products & modules for standard operations and their replication, for peer learning, for sharing and dissemination of best practices and valuable lessons, for training programmes, for deploying important and strategic information and, for dissemination of research and knowledge products amongst the internal and external stakeholders.  

The incumbent will collaborate with communications schools in building communication projects under the BIPP’s Initiatives for interns and fellows; thereby, enabling, production of rich communication products at scale and over a continuous time period.

She/He will oversee and guide the creation of exemplary content for each of the outputs. She/He will work closely with the teams from each of the different action verticals, across different geographies in the country. She/He will also engage actively with multiple schools, institutions and organizations in building communication programmes for the initiatives through interns and fellows. The incumbent will work closely with the media and knowledge management teams, where required, for creation of communication products and their dissemination.

She/He will need to understand the areas of work under each of the initiatives and, be abreast of the progress to ensure effective translation into communication products and their dissemination.

Postgraduate in Communications/any field

 

Experience in building and delivering rich communication products in large programmes/organizations and demonstrated ability in delivering effective knowledge dissemination through multiple communication mediums and formats. 

Experience in working in development/social impact sector will be an added advantage.
