Dr. Navneet Bhatnagar is an accomplished family business scholar of the Thomas Schmidheiny Centre for Family Enterprise. His research interests include professionalization, next-generation leadership development, sustainability, and philanthropy in the family business context. His articles have been published in top-tier journals. Navneet has co-authored with Professor Kavil Ramachandran several family business case studies, whitepapers, and media articles. His twenty years of diverse experience spans across academics, corporates, and his own family business. Navneet has chaired family business tracks at several international conferences. He received the Outstanding Reviewer Award at the Family Enterprise Research Conference, University of Vermont, in 2019. Navneet is the recipient of the 2020 Fitzpatrick & Francis Family Business Continuity Foundation - FFI-GEN Scholarship Award. He holds the Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising (ACFBA) from the Family Firm Insitute, Boston, and a Ph.D. from the Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras.
Dr Nupur Pavan Bang
Dr. Nupur Pavan Bang is the Associate Director at the Thomas Schmidheiny Centre for Family Enterprise. She has close to 14 years of teaching and research experience. She has worked as the Head of Analytics at the Insurance Information Bureau of India (IIB), Hyderabad. She played a pivotal role in setting up best practices for Analytics and Research at the Bureau, apart from managing key projects/reports/collaborations for all stakeholders, including the Regulator (IRDAI) and the Government. She started the quarterly IIB Bulletin and successfully published six Issues during her tenure at IIB at its Editor. She has also worked with Centre for Investment at ISB as a Senior Researcher, as an Associate Professor at IBS, Hyderabad and as an Auditor with Natarajan & Swaminathan, CPAs, Singapore. Nupur has many research papers and cases to her credit and contributes regularly to leading business dailies. She has conducted various management development programs and taught at various B-schools. Nupur holds a PhD in the area of Derivatives, was a Post-Doc Fellow at the Indian School of Business and is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) of UK.
Sushma manages all the Centre's activities, works closely with Executive Director and leads managing and coordination for conferences, short duration training programmes, outreach activities and other events organized by the Centre including secondary research support and dissemination. She holds Post Graduate degree in Commerce (M.Com) and Human Resource Management (MHRM). She has 15+ years of experience in administration and programme management.
Nandil is working as a Research Associate with the Thomas Schmidheiny Centre for Family Enterprise. He has completed his Post Graduate Degree in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a Bachelors degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. He has worked in the Management Consulting space for ~1.5 years on projects spanning across New Product Development and Long term growth strategies for firms in the financial services and corporate advisory domain.
Bharagavi provides research assistance to the Thomas Schmidheiny Centre for Family Enterprise. She has 7 years of experience in IT consulting. She has MBA in Sustainable Innovation from University of Vermont, USA and Bachelors in Technology (Mechanical Engineering). Her areas of Interests include Sustainable Business Strategies, Family Businesses and Emerging markets.
