ISB appoints Professor Vijay Mahajan as the new Dean

The Indian School of Business has appointed Professor Vijay Mahajan as the new Dean. Professor Mahajan takes over from the Dean's chair from Dr Pramath Sinha.

Prof Mahajan holds the John P Harbin Centennial Chair in Business in the McCombs School of Business, the University of Texas at Austin. He is highly regarded in the field of marketing and has won several research and teaching awards in his career.

He also served as the Associate Dean of Research, Graduate School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin during 1991-94. Prior to Joining UT Austin, he was a member of the permanent faculty at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Speaking on his appointment as the Dean of ISB, Professor Mahajan said, "ISB's excellent performance in its first year is a testimony of its strong foundations-a world renowned governing board, excellent academic collaborations, access to high-quality faculty and a strong management team. It is an honour for me to take up the role of its new Dean, and work towards taking this institution to even greater heights over the next few years."
